Here is one of the pieces I did in ink, Pointilism.....Groucho Marx
This one was done back in 1982. Pointilism was one of my favorite forms of artwork for a very long time. Though I did many full, complete pictures, this one of a vague impression of Groucho was, for some reason, one of my favorites.
I have been dabbling in art since I could figure out how to hold onto a pencil. It has always been apart of me. Raising children, work and everyday life seemed to put art to the side, that is until my adult children pushed me to pick it up again. How can you not be grateful for the blessings a child can bring?!! I don’t claim that any of it is good, or that any of you will like my work. I am claiming that putting one's creative nature to work, allowing it to live is very therapeutic for me. I feel like I am waking up again when creating something new. I love the process even more then the outcome, or final product. More then the offers to buy my work, the most valuable and rewarding payments have been the supportive nature of my family. Whether they like each piece I create or not, they have encouraged me to continue. I hope that all of you will do the same and experience the wonderful feeling being creative brings to one’s heart & soul.
